Placenta Encapsulation

$250-

The placenta is the organ that surrounds the fetus in the womb and allows for the exchange of nutrients, blood, and waste with the mother. Tradition and holistic medical customs embrace a number of potential advantages that come from ingesting the placenta. Benefits that have been shown are:

  • Increased release of the hormone oxytocin, which helps the uterus return to normal size and encourages bonding with the infant.

  • Increase in CRH, a stress-reducing hormone

  • A decrease in postpartum depression levels

  • Restoration of iron levels in the blood

  • Increase in milk production

baby sleeping, doula, postpartum care

Postpartum Doula Care

$35-$45/hour-

A postpartum doula provides evidenced-based information and support for emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant feeding, newborn care, family-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care.

A postpartum doula is there to help a new family in those first days and weeks after bringing home a new baby. Research shows that parents and babies have a smoother time with the transition of bringing baby home with a good support team in place.

Postpartum doulas provide:

  • Breastfeeding support

  • Help with the emotional and physical recovery after birth

  • Light housekeeping so that parents don’t feel so overwhelmed

  • Assistance with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and comforting

  • Baby soothing techniques

Minimum of 4 hours for daytime postpartum care

Minimum of 6 hours for night postpartum care

I believe strongly that every person, regardless of financial or economic stres, should have aces to quality support and advocacy through the entirety of their reproductive journey. If you find yourself in a place of financial strain, please contact me. We will work together and I can offer a sliding scale for some clients depending on circumstances.

“A positive birth does not have to be ‘natural’ or ‘drug-free’ – it simply has to be informed from a place of positivity.” - Positive Birth Movement
